For a satin surface effect – R-Flex mottling points RFM 652

The R-Flex mottling point RFM 652 creates a phenomenal satin surface scratch pattern on

  • NF metals and
  • aluminium.

The product can be used for circle polishing of stainless steel in a lifting beam with mottling points. The product is available with two different shaft options: a milled plain surface and a standard round shaft. Both versions have been designed for custom use in professional workshops or at industrial businesses processing NF-metals and aluminium.

Temperature-resistant and adaptable – silicon carbide embedded in elastic material

The abrasive grains used for the R-Flex mottling point RFM 652 consist of pure silicon carbide: Aside from being exceedingly tough, this material offers good temperature resistance and exceptional thermal conductivity. Meanwhile, the elastic bonding adjusts the R-Flex profile perfectly to the contours of the workpiece. This quality gives the mottling point its universal wear characteristics - allowing it to retain its shape until it is worn out completely. The service life of this abrasive is excellent thanks to the careful selection of its materials. This longevity reduces the frequency with which the R-Flex mottling point RFM 652 by Klingspor needs to be changed. When the products are used for circle finishing of sheet material in a lifting beam with mottling points, i.e. machines on which the mottling points are clamped into a beam, they produce an even and attractive circular surface pattern. This type of surface refinement is applied in the areas of stainless steel sheet production for commercial kitchens.

Aggressiveness under control: The right model for every sector

The R-Flex mottling point RFM 652 is available in a variety of sizes. The different types vary in diameter as well as in grit size and bonding. A soft grade polymer allows the elastically supported abrasive grain to yield more easily when subjected to pressure. The use of a fine grit results in minimal roughness, while preserving the structure of the processed surface almost completely. The larger the grit and the tougher the bonding material, the greater the intensity with which the silicon carbide removes stock from the surface. This results in softer structures, transitions and edges.
